ALBABY, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, Feb. 3, 2012 (Local News) - The last shipment of biomass fuel pellets produced from WA blue gum will leave the state's south coast port of Albany this week.

Plantation Energy Australia will no longer export the pellets to northern hemisphere power stations and around 20 employees will be stood down.

Around $50 million dollars has been invested by a US energy company into the project, which will go into mothballs until economic conditions improve.
