Aberdeen, Scotland City Council to consider planning application for biomass CHP at Arjo Wiggins paper mill site
ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND, Jan. 17, 2013 (Press Release) - A combined heat and power plant (CHP) could be built on the Arjo Wiggins paper mill site at Stoneywood.
The proposal is for a combined heat and power biomass plant which would burn woodfiber and provide heat, in the form of hot water and steam, and electricity to the national grid. It would provide 90% of the paper mill's heat requirements and save more than 80,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, through the heat and power it creates.
