KY state senate passes bill allowing long-term contracts between biomass energy producers and public service commission [From the web]

FRANKFORT, KY, Feb. 20, 2013 (Local News) - The sponsor of a bill that unanimously passed the state Senate last week is hopeful it will create jobs for the region by making biomass energy more easily accessible.

Brandon Smith, R-Hazard, introduced SB46 in January, and it has quickly made its way through the Senate.
