SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, Feb. 3, 2012 (Local News) - The Ontario government would renegotiate a long-term energy purchase agreement with a new owner of St. Marys Paper.

The century-old papermaker went into receivership in late December.

St. Marys Renewable Energy Corp., the mill's energy subsidiary, received a 10-year power purchase agreement with Ontario Power in November 2010 for its proposed 35-megawatt biomass cogeneration plant.
